I serve. Do you?

By Jill Applegate

Yesterday was the National Day of Service, perhaps my favorite day while here in Washington, D.C. As a member of Alpha Phi Omega, the national service fraternity, I really enjoy serving my school and my community.

We should all recognize the opportunities that have been available to us, and by engaging in service, this our chance to give back. Also, I think that one reason why people don’t engage in service is because they don’t know what service there is to do or how to get involved. I took the pledge to serve my community, and you can too. By providing your name and contact information, you will be given all the tools necessary to get involved and serve. Pledge here!
