Earlier this week, I posted about D.C.’s “Angriest Plates in the Union.” Today, we heard more on the topic from one of our academic speakers. Brian Lamb, founder of C-SPAN, informed us that President Obama has decided to put the “Taxation Without Representation” license plates on the presidential motorcade in time for the inaugural parade. So, the President will now be joining Washington’s campaign for representation.
Lamb also commented on the likelihood of D.C. getting representation in Congress. He said that he didn’t think that it would happen because “there’s a snowball’s chance in hell of D.C. voting for a Republican,” so Republicans in Congress won’t vote to essentially give the Democrats more votes in Congress.
Stay tuned to Drake in DC, I’ll be sure to let you know about any more breaking news on Washington, D.C.’s unique license plates!
